What’s a stretch mark exactly? A
stretch mark is a type of scar that develops when our skin is rapidly
stretching or shrinking. The abrupt change causes our skin to rupture
with collagen and elastin. Stretch marks may appear as the skin
heals.Not everyone on their skin is developing these narrow bands.
Fluctuating levels of hormones appear to play a role. You may also be at
higher risk if you get stretch marks from people in your family.
Stretch marks appear for different reasons like losing a weight quickly, pregnancy, stress, and puberty. They usually appear on the stomach, the upper arms, the buttocks, and the breasts.
You can also cause stretch marks by applying a corticosteroid to your skin for a long time. You may see stretch marks if you have Cushing’s disease or Marfan syndrome.When stretch marks first appear, depending on your skin color, they tend to be red, purple, pink, reddish – brown, or dark brown. Early stretch marks may be slightly elevated and itchy.The color will fade in time and the narrow bands will sink under your skin. You often feel a slight depression when you run your finger over a mature stretch mark.
They aren’t easily to get rid of, but there are few natural remedies that can make them disappear.
Lemon juice is naturally acidic and not only does it reduce stretch marks, it also treats acne and scars. Rub some fresh lemon juice on the stretch marks in circular motions to make them disappear.
2. Potato juice
While we generally don’t think of potatoes as “juicy,” when cut contains valuable vitamins and minerals, the moisture raw potatoes release. These nutrients help your skin cells restore and grow.Cut a medium slice of potato. Rub one of the slices gently over your stretch marks for several minutes, thoroughly cover the stretch marks with the “juice” emitted by the potato. Let the dry air of the juice. Rinse with lukewarm water on your skin.

This oil is amazing when it comes to treating dark spots, moles, pimples, wrinkles, and of course stretch marks. Apply some of this oil on the stretch marks and gently massage the area.

Rich in nutrients and antioxidants it’s no wonder this oil is on the list as well. Massage some olive oil on the stretch marks and let it act for 30 minutes.
Stretch marks are easily diagnosed on the basis of a skin exam and a review of the medical history of an individual. Usually, the doctor will ask questions based on signs and symptoms, as well as any current drugs or existing medical conditions.Stretch marks are not harmful and do not cause problems with medicine. Treatment and prevention

During pregnancy, aim for slow and gradual weight gain. Drink water every day from six to eight glasses.
Stretch marks may be unsightly, but they are a common problem that is often temporary. They do not pose long-term health risks, and treatment is usually meant to improve the person with stretch marks ‘ self-image.
